Voice Up

UE has added another custom to their line-up. This times, it is the vocal centric Vocal Reference Monitor for US$999. Though it is three drivers with three ways crossover, it is rolled off at both ends of the frequency response intentionally to push the vocal forward, mainly just for singer who want to listen to his/her own voice and nothing else (and there will be a male and a female version). I don't suppose this will catch up in the consumer market any time soon.

seems like UE-vocal is trying to take head-on the ASG-1 n variants, i've just heard read about them......though i've grown to love the analytical signature of IEM's and thought i'll stop at the UE custom's, but would love to start again with the mids :-) ClieOS would they be the "kings of mids"?

Well, there is a different between having a good mid and having rolloff treble and bass. This isn't a custom that is made for music and I don't expect anyone beside the intended target (i.e. singer) to even consider getting of of this.
